Getting Connected

Sign in with your Twitch account via OAuth. ChatEgg requests read-only access to your chat, plus moderator permissions for follows and shoutouts.

You can optionally set a different target channel to watch if you want to monitor a channel other than your own.

Troubleshooting

Chat isn't loading

Try signing out and re-authenticating with Twitch. This refreshes your OAuth token.

EventSub events not showing (follows, subs, etc.)

Make sure your account has moderator permissions on the target channel. EventSub requires moderator access to receive these events.

Shout-outs or other features not working

If you've recently updated ChatEgg, some new features (like shout-outs) may require additional permissions that weren't requested when you originally connected. Go to the Twitch provider page and tap Re-authenticate to grant the updated permissions.

Viewer count seems delayed

Viewer count updates every 30 seconds. This is normal.
